The Highways Agency have released information on the latest round of disruption to hit travellers on the M6 where it meets the M55.
A roadworks scheme has been ongoing since May and was due to finish in November but is overrunning by two months.
£7 million is being spent on widening the motorway where the M55 heads to Blackpool and the M6 continues northwards to Lancaster and the Lake District.
The M6 northbound is to be closed at junction 32 on Sunday 14 December, Monday 15 December, Tuesday 16 December and Wednesday 17 December from 9pm to 6am.
Traffic is being diverted off the M6 at Junction 32, onto the M55 westbound to the Broughton roundabout and then being pushed eastbound on the M55 where it can join the link road onto the M6 north.
On Thursday 18 December, Friday 19 December and Saturday 20 December the M55 eastbound link to the M6 northbound will be closed. A diversion via the A6 to Junction 33 of the M6 will be in place.
The M6 southbound at junction 32 is to be closed on Saturday 3 January 2015 and Sunday 4 January 2015 from 9pm to 6am. Diversions will be in place.
