More than 1,000 people sung their hearts out in Deepdale on Monday for a special carol concert.
The special event remembered the Christmas truce of 1914 between the British and German soldiers in the First World War.
Carols rung out across the ground and it included a poignant moment when Thorsten Stuckman, Preston North End’s German goalkeeper, took the microphone.
He spoke in his mother tongue the original words to Silent Night, the carol which is said to have instigated the truce 100 years ago.
