More than 10 people turned out for a clean up at the RSPCA Preston Rescue Centre in Ribbleton.

The centre said it was struggling with the workload of its animal residents and hadn’t been able to clear up the area around the centre.

She said: “It was a brilliant success and the people who came really did warm our hearts as they said they would love to do this on a regular basis throughout the year.”
