Preston Sports Awards 2015: Nominations open to recognise city sporting heroes

Nominations for the annual Preston Sports Awards have opened.

The Awards, which take place in March, are handed out to those making an impact in Preston’s sports teams across the city.

Former World champion and Olympic silver medallist at mixed doubles badminton Gail Emms is to present the awards and speak at the ceremony.

2015 marks the tenth year the awards have taken place and are hosted by Preston City Council.

Nominations take place online and must be completed by Monday 2 February 2015.

Tickets for the ceremony itself on Friday 13 March cost £25 each and can be booked through the Guild Hall box office.

The event, which includes a waiter-served meal, runs from 6.45pm to 11pm.
