Preston North End manager Simon Grayson praised hat-trick hero Callum Robinson after his side’s 3-0 win over Havant & Waterlooville.

“We are delighted that Aston Villa have allowed him to be with us and I think the kid will remember tonight,” said the manager.
“His finishing was brilliant, his work rate was good. There’s no way we’ll be able to keep him over the next few years. I think Aston Villa will benefit from him being with us for a number of months and hopefully until the end of the season.
“He’s a great lad, fantastic work ethic, he’s just one of those lads with natural ability and we’re delighted to have him.
“Once he gets facing the defender one v one he’s got quick feet and he can punish defenders. He likes playing on the left-hand side because he can cut inside and use his stronger foot but his overall game was really good. He got the goals but he worked hard for the team he’ll remember tonight for a long time.”
Robinson scored after just seven minutes at West Leigh Park, firing from a tight angle on the left before volleying in Paul Gallagher’s cross on the half hour mark.
The teenager then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot on 81 minutes after Havant defender Warren Cummings blocked his shot moments before with his arm.
