A Chorley man has been charged in connection with an armed raid in Plungington.
AdvertisementKenneth Goldthorpe, 40, of Chorley Road, Adlington, Chorley, is accused of two counts of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
Police were called just before 6pm on Tuesday to reports of a robbery at Lily and Eve hairdressers on Villiers Street.
Staff were threatened with a knife before the man made off with a small amount of cash, triggering a police search.
A second call was made to police reporting an unsuccessful attempt to steal a car on Eldon Street. A man’s mobile phone was taken during the incident.
Goldthorpe is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on February 27.
