The Miller Taxi office on Murray Street is currently vacant

A new wrestling and boxing club could be opening in Preston.

Millers City Cars have applied to change the use of their former offices on Murray Street near the university campus.

The firm, which has operated in Preston since 1870, says a boxing studio could move into the premises.

Owner Anthony Abram says: “We wish to sell the building to a wrestling and boxing club so need to change the use.”

The full plans can be seen on the city council website and anyone wishing to comment can do so online.
