Taxis targeted in Deepdale as police hunt car break-in thief

Police are hunting a man after a number of car break-ins during Saturday and Sunday.

Three taxis in the Deepdale area were targeted in the St George’s Road and Castleton Road area.

Police are warning drivers to ensure no sat navs, phones or money on display.

On Sunday evening a car at West View Leisure Centre car park was targeted.

Officers have chase up Emerson Street and Blackpool Road but the offender was not caught.

The police helicopter at Warton was called but there was no trace.

Another car break-in happened on Monday night on a taxi at Total Fitness on Strand Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
