Preston parents are being asked to ensure they have applied for their child’s secondary school place.

The deadline for sending in applications is Friday 31 October 2014.

Lancashire County Council are urging parents to ensure they don’t end up with a chilling surprise by not applying online.

Parents are reminded even if a child has an older brother or sister at the school concerned.

Primary school places close on 15 January 2015.

The application process is via the Lancashire County Council website.
