Fans of film, television and comic books flocked to the Guild Hall on Saturday for what was the first ever Preston Comic Con event.

And, judging by the number of people in and around the Guild Hall this could well turn into a regular convention.

In the Guild Hall itself there were market stalls selling memorabilia and the opportunity to meet ‘celebrities’.

This was costume drama, the likes of which Preston Guild Hall has never seen before, from the heroes and villains of Star Wars to Doctor Who in his many guises and Harry Potter.

If you imagined this fantasy stuff was just for kids, think again.

From the very young to the not so young many visitors had entered into the spirit of the event. In fact if you didn’t have on a costume of some sort you felt out of place – next time I’m going as Princess Leia (just kidding)!
