A city centre nightlife festival returns to Preston during Halloween weekend.
AdvertisementPrestfest is a celebration of the bars, clubs, restaurants and pubs in the city and will feature some rather unwanted guests.
The Circus of Horrors, the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Grim Reaper are all due to make an appearance on Halloween itself.
Organised by the Preston Business Improvement District the ghostly actors are set to haunt city centre revellers throughout the weekend providing street entertainment.
Mark Whittle, of Preston BID, said: “Prestfest has a proven track record of bringing people from across the North West to Preston to experience the great night out it has to offer.
“We have achieved that by constantly building upon our offer and working alongside city centre venues to get them to shape the offer.
“The result was that our last event in February saw a huge jump in the number of people coming to Preston and we are confident this spooky Halloween spectacular will do the same.”
Friday of the event includes a competition of £1,000 being handed out across twenty venues – the money can be spent in city centre restaurants, bars and pubs.
Venues taking part during the festival, which runs on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November, are running special offers and events during the weekend.
Prestfest has run since 2011 and celebrates Preston’s securing of a Purple Flag for having a quality nightlife offering.
