Damage shown to one of the vehicles involved

Police and fire crews are dealing with a collision in Preston city centre.

The incident involving two cars took place around 11am on Saturday at the junction of Queen Street and Manchester Road.

Manchester Road is now open, it was closed for around an hour as fire crews and Lancashire County Council highways officers worked to clear wreckage.

A black WV golf is seen in one of the pictures posted by Preston Police to Twitter as suffering minor damage.

Preston Police say a black Astra was also involved.

Damage has been caused to railings, a street sign and telegraph poles.

Those involved are thought to have only minor injuries.
