Identical barn owl twins stolen from Woodplumpton

Police are appealing for information after barn owl twins were stolen from Woodplumpton.

Wilma and Betty were reported stolen overnight from after their owners left them in their avery at 8pm on Thursday.

The 17 month old barn owls have not been seen since.

PC Chris Banks said: “The owners are distraught at the theft and we are seeking any information into finding out were Wilma and Betty are. It is believed they would struggle to live in the wild as they have always been looked after by the owner.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Preston Police on 101 quoting log number LC-20141010-0414.
