A Preston broadcaster has made the final three of a county-wide competition.
AdvertisementJohn Gillmore, or Gilly, as we all generally know him as, is up for tourism superstar at the Lancashire Tourism Awards.
The category recognises and rewards an individual who have been nominated by those in the tourist industry for their contribution to tourism in Lancashire.
Gilly has been broadcasting across Lancashire for more than 28 years and is regularly seen out and about in Preston with his BBC Radio Lancashire microphone.
The Lancashire Tourism Awards take place on Thursday 6 November.
Gilly is up against Roger Carter, chair of the Bay Tourism Association and Sue Copp, guest services and inclusion at Sandcastle Waterpark.
