Jason Manford will bring his comedy club to Ribby Hall.
Comedy is stronger than ever in Preston despite the sad loss of the Frog & Bucket comedy club.
When the club announced it’s closure earlier this year it cast a grim shadow of Preston’s comedy scene.
However a series of new comedy ventures in the city means that Preston will be laughing harder than ever.
First there was the announcement that the Guild Hall boss Simon Rigby would keep the Frog & Bucket shows in Preston.
This was followed by the news that the Beat The Frog night, an open mic challenge at the Frog & Bucket, would be replaced by Survive the 5 at Blitz.
Korova has joined the fun, with the launch of their Comedy Fridays every week.
Lastly Jason Manford has added promoted shows at Rift & Co, formerly Revolutions, to his already booked gigs at Ribby Hall. He doesn’t perform at these shows but helps give a spotlight to up-and-coming comedians.
All of this means that it’s a great time to be a fan of comedy in Preston. Are you heading to any of these shows? Let us know.
