A Caribbean restaurant and bar is preparing to open in Preston’s city centre in late November.
AdvertisementTurtle Bay, which is rapidly expanding across the country, will be on the ground floor of Crystal House facing onto Cheapside.
The restaurant is to be able to seat 175 diners in nearly 7,000 square foot.
Jerk chicken and more than 50 of other traditional Caribbean delicacies will be on the menu.
Ajith Jayawickrema, Turtle Bay Founder, said: “We’re particularly excited to be opening our Preston restaurant.
“I think it’s a city that will really ‘get’ the concept with its ‘no nonsense’ attitude and big student population,
“I’m looking to bringing something new to the food scene. Turtle Bay is about great food and good times, simple as that.”
The restaurant is due to open from 6pm on Friday 28 November.
A licensing application indicates the restaurant and bar is to be open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
The retail units at the base of Crystal House were cleared out by the owners who gained permission for what used to be Burlington’s, Threshers and Cancer Research into one larger space – which is to be Turtle Bay.
Turtle Bay has already opened in Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham and Manchester.
