A Fulwood school has applied to build a temporary classroom in its grounds.
AdvertisementLongsands Community Primary School wants to use a temporary structure to run its out of school club.
The before and after school club currently operates from the Millennium Hall on nearby Neapsands Close, Garrison, causing issues with parents picking up and dropping off their children.
The temporary building would house up to 24 children and three members of staff.
A statement from the school says: “The proposal is to build a temporary, pre-fabricated building within the school grounds.
“The area school grounds are substantial and the scale of the proposed classroom would not have a detrimental visual impact on the existing school building.
“The proposed classroom would provide the facility to enable parents to deliver and pick up their children before and aftrer school thereby reducing traffic generation at peak times.”
