Comedy in Preston has received a timely boost. Frog and Bucket comedy nights will continue after the new owners of the Guild Hall stepped in to lend a hand.
AdvertisementRichard Simkin, head of operations for Preston Guild Hall Ltd, said: “Having lengthy discussions over the past couple of weeks with Jessica it was clear she was keen to find the ideal venue and partner. I am very brand conscious and will make sure The Frog and Bucket remains just that with The Frog’s ethics and product, remaining the absolute same moving forwards.
“We will work closely together in the future and hope to see the loyal fans and new faces on Friday 7 November with their laughter being heard across the city.”
Frog and Bucket manager Jessica Toomey said: “We have found the perfect partner and new home with Preston Guild Hall for The Frog and Bucket in Preston, and really looking forward to our first show in November. I’m delighted that we will continue to bring laughs to Preston.”
It was recently announced that The Frog and Bucket would close, with the venue enjoying what was thought to be its last night recently.
However, Preston received a boost recently with news that The Guild Hall had finally found a buyer in Simon Rigby. His latest contribution to Preston will be ensuring these much loved comedy nights continue.
