The Autumn Steam Gala takes place at the Ribble Steam Railway on Saturday and Sunday.

Hot behind the tracks from the Preston to Southport 50th anniversary event on Saturday 6 September, the trains are running again.

The steam gala sees trains running from 10am to 4.30pm, including a Victorian Passenger train the Vulcan.

Running around the docks the Steam Gala sees steam enthusiasts and families given the chance to ride the trains.

In operation are The ‘Fife Flyer’ Andrew Barclay 2261/1949 ‘No. 6’, Bagnall 2680/1942 ‘Courageous’, L&Y Aspinall 1300 (LMS 12322)/1896 and Vulcan Works 3272/1918 ‘Vulcan’.

A new photographic exhibition will also be on display in the museum.

A day ticket costs £7 for adults, £4.50 for concessions and a family ticket is £20. The day ticket gives unlimited rides.
