Preston’s dragon boat racing wasn’t without incident on Saturday as two crews ended up in the Docks.

Teams competed despite the poor weather conditions to raise money for charity.

But two of the teams were tipped over in the Docks and forced to abandon ship.

The two boats were supporting Derian House, the yellow boat is KINGSLAND 5-0 and the blue boat is PURPLE GROOVE ARMADA from the Community Gateway Association.

One of the crews, Aran Bailey, even found time to post a selfie during the capsizing.

John Newsham captured the chaos in the water as the boats went over.
