A Preston man who is running six marathons in six months is gearing up for his fifth run.
AdvertisementBen Ashworth from Broadgate who has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and is raising money for a number of cancer charities.
Alongside his training Ben has also been spreading the word about checking for the signs of bowel cancer.
The father of three posted a topless stoma selfie on Facebook and Twitter, and it has reached thousands of people who have backed Ben.
A stoma is a surgically created opening on the abdomen which allows urine and stools to exit the body.
Ben now heads to the Isle of Man marathon on Sunday 10 August before the Berlin marathon in September.
He has raised £9,025 towards his £10,000 target.
