Preston motorists told to expect more roadwork disruption

Starting on 13 July and expected to continue until at least 27 July 2014 surface dressing will mean road closures and partial closures in and around the city.

The following proposed road closure timetable has been released to prepare for the surface dress works on Preston and South Ribble roads.

Most of the work will be carried out using stop/go controls. Total road closure will only happen where completely necessary.

This will affect motorists and several bus services, but delays should be kept to a minimum:

Sunday 13 July:
Watery Lane, Preston
West Strand, Preston
Eastway, Preston (bus service 86)

Friday 18 July:
Tanterton Hall Road, Ingol – No Closure, stop /go type controls (35, 88A/88C)
Tag lane, Ingol – No Closure, stop /go type controls (44, 35)
Ainsdale Drive, Lea – No Closure, stop /go type controls (31/31A)

Monday 21 July
Farringdon Lane, Preston – No Closure, stop /go type controls (16)
Longridge Road, Preston – No Closure, stop /go type controls (88A/88C)

Sunday 27 July:
Deepdale Road, Preston (19A)

Preston Bus services affected are: 16, 31/31A, 35, 44, 88A, 88C, 19A, 86
