A 24-hour gym coming to Preston is to have an expanded car park.
AdvertisementLandlords at the North Road retail park have applied for permission to create 32 new spaces for the i-motion gym.
Two of the units on the retail park are due be converted into the gym, which will always be open for fitness fanatics.
Derelict land to the east of Broomfield Mill Street will be resurfaced ahead of the gym expansion, with 600 people estimated to visit every week day and approaching 300 people at weekends.
Half of these according to Deborah Smith applying on behalf of Worthington Properties are by car.
i-motion are understood to be the 24-hour gym operator moving into the premises, listing a gym in Preston as coming soon on their website.
They are currently based in Rotherham but are due to expand across the UK in coming months.
Membership is listed as £9.99 a month and the Rotherham gym runs 90 classes per week.
