A taste of the Caribbean is set to brighten Preston city centre in the coming months.
AdvertisementTurtle Bay are currently renovating one of the empty shop units at the base of Crystal House on Cheapside.
The chain serves jerk chicken and plenty of other Caribbean delicacies, for either eating in or taking out.
A licensing application has been lodged to serve alcohol at the restaurant.
The previous retail units on Cheapside had been home to a number of shops and cafes, including the Cancer Research store that had been there 20 years.
Owners of Crystal House gave them notice and have turned the base of Crystal House into one larger space, which Turtle Bay are due to open in.
The licensing application states the restaurant would open from 10am until midnight on Sunday to Thursday and with extended hours to 1am on a Friday and Saturday.
Restaurants for the chain have already sprung up in Birmingham, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Nottingham and they recently opened in Manchester near St Peter’s Square.
