The Penwortham Magazine: Issue 28 of the local history mag released

The latest issue of the Penwortham Magazine, now up to its 28th edition, has been released.

Started by Penwortham resident Heather Crook the magazine is a collection of nostalgia, history and memories about Penwortham.

This issue includes –

Photographs from Penwortham Past;

A World War II story by Philip AG Kelly;

Memories of Middleforth resident Mrs Bell Ingham;

The Story of St Mary’sWell, Penwortham by Peter John Dillon;

A grim Murder and Robbery near Preston;

Heather has also released a fascinating history of Penwortham War Memorial.

The Penwortham Magazine, is supported and printed by Penwortham Priory Academy. They also produce the equally popular Preston and Lostock Hall magazines.
