Preston City Council’s planning department has given the green light for the former Rawsthorns Solicitors offices on Lune Street to become 20 studio flats.

Hattrell DS One Architects stated in their application: “These basically provide one room living accommodation with all facilities – living and sleeping accommodation, small kitchen with cooking facility and en suite shower room.

“The accommodation is expected to appeal to younger people wishing to purchase their first dwelling, and to older single people who prefer to live in the city centre rather than the suburbs.”

The offices have been empty since March last year.
