Professional storyteller Susanne Oldfield will be entertaining the kids at the Lancashire Science Festival.
Students of Publishing at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) organised a special event for the younger attendees of Festival on Saturday 28 June.
This event is perfect for younger children and their families, and will be an entertaining interlude to the Science Festival.
Susanna will be performing her entertaining half-hour Gruffalo show in a special story den throughout the day in half hour slots; just turn up to enjoy the magic.
Shows from the fantastic Bite Company will also be taking place throughout the day.
Susanna is a fun, relevant and engaging storyteller, and her take on the multi award-winning story of The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler is charming, exciting and entertaining, especially for young children.
A Dance and English Literature graduate from the University of Birmingham, Susanna is very experienced at working with children. In 2005 she was highly commended in the Young Storyteller of the Year Award and is currently a resident storyteller, scriptwriter and actress at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts.
The event is free and unticketed so families can just turn up.
It is one part of the Lancashire Science Festival; a free of charge community event, coordinated by the Public Engagement Unit at the University of Central Lancashire.
