Bus diversions as Preston prepares for Carnival

Various routes in and around Preston City Centre will be closed from 11am on Sunday 29 June, to allow for the Caribbean Carnival procession.

Preston Bus tell us the roads affected are:

Preston Weekender advert

Moor Lane; Moor Park Avenue; Garstang Rd between Moor Lane and Moor Park Avenue;

Ringway, at junction with Church St; Church Street; Sir Tom Finney Way, between Blackpool Road and Deepdale Road;Deepdale Road;

Fishergate from junction with Church St to Cheapside; Cheapside; Market Street; Friargate; Ringway at junction with Friargate.

Roads will gradually reopen as the procession moves on. During the procession services will be diverted with delays inevitable.

Sunday service will be affected by road closures during the day, but main services affected will be 19A, 86, 89. Diversion routes will include Ribbleton Lane, Blackpool Road, Garstang Road, New Hall Lane.

The affected Services are: 8, 14, 16, 35, 89, 19A, 23, 86, 114, 75/75A
