A former takeaway on Church Street has become a betting shop.

Plans submitted by the Frank Whittle Partnership show where the Bet Sid shop has opened in the city centre.

The betting shop employs four time full-time staff and three part-time staff.

It follows the opening of a Blackpool branch by the local betting firm.

The change of use application comes after work was completed in November to convert the building.

Anyone wishing to comment on the application can do so via the council website or by emailing devcon@preston.gov.uk and including reference number 06/2014/0416.

The full application is available to view on the council website.
