Teenager arrested after assault on teenage boy on Plungington Road

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted and robbed in Preston.

A 17-year-old boy was approached by a male on Plungington Road on Tuesday 6 May at 7pm.

He demanded the teenager’s bag and along with a second man punched and kicked the boy before taking the bag and running off.

A wallet, cash and a mobile phone were taken from the Walmer Bridge boy.

DC Corina Barton said: “This was a nasty incident and I am keen for anybody who has any information about it to contact police.”

Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy from Ashton on suspicion of assault with intent to commit robbery. He has now been bailed.
