Power cut disrupts Sunday shopping in Preston city centre

A power cut has caused problems for shops throughout Preston city centre.

Electricity North West reported a power outage in the PR1 postcode from around 1.45pm on Sunday.

It left many stores unable to operate their tills and forced to close their doors.

The St George’s Shopping Centre was affected with shoppers ushered out.

Electricity North West said supplies were restored around 2.50pm.
