Police appeal as two men wanted for Flag Market assault

Police are appealing for information following an unprovoked attack on a teenager in Preston city centre.

The incident happened between midnight and 1am on Sunday 25 May.

An 18-ear-old was approached as he walked down Cheapside close to the Flag Market.

Two men set upon the man and left him with a suspected broken jaw.

Det Sgt Martin Pearson, of Preston CID, said: “There is genuinely no motive – this was an unprovoked attack.

“The injuries he suffered are consistent with a sustained attack involving stamping, which is particularly nasty.”
