It has taken me a few days, but I am now ready to come to terms with the fact that Preston North End’s season is over. Although we had another heartbreaking play off defeat, there have been plenty of positives to come from this season. We have had our fare share of managers in the past few seasons, but Simon Grayson has put the pride back into our club. A positive manager who has brought together a great team of players who have had the most successful season in league 1 since relegation from the Championship in 2011.
My visits to Deepdale this season have brought many different emotions. Beating Blackpool with a passionate pitch invasion being one of the obvious favourites, as well as some great goalfests towards the end of the season beating Carlisle 6-1 and Shrewbury 5-2. There was also some very saddening visits to deepdale with the passing of the great Sir Tom Finney but these visits by so many people and clubs created a respectful celebration of his life.
I set myself a little challenge this season, which was to take a different photo each time I visited Deepdale and create a different view of PNEFC in a collage of these photographs.
