Preston Indoor and Outdoor Market got into the St George Day spirit today.

Two-piece Yorkshire band The Moot (seen above) performed outside providing shoppers and market stall holders with live toe-tapping music.

One stall holder inside the market said she loved the music and it kept her happy throughout the day

As promised, the indoor market was festooned with bunting, banners and balloons throughout the market with local specialties highlighted for St George’s Day.

It was a great day to visit Preston Markets.

Elsewhere in the city St George’s Day was also celebrated at the shopping centre which follows its name.

The Red Rose Chorus were on hand to surprise shoppers by serenading them whenever they say down.
