Prestonians are being urged to ensure they are registered to vote ahead of the local and European elections in May.
Residents need to ensure they are on the electoral register ahead of the poll so they can have their say.

“It only takes a few minutes to complete the registration form. Even if you will be away on holiday on 22 May, or think you may be caught up in work, you can make sure you have your say by applying to vote by post or proxy.”
The election of local councillors and eight Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) takes place on Thursday 22 May.
The deadline for registering to vote is Tuesday 6 May.
Anyone wishing to vote by post needs to apply for a postal vote by 5pm on Wednesday 7 May.
The results of the local elections and the count take place on Friday 23 May.
The European election results and count take place on Sunday 25 May.
