Korfball in action

It’s normally politics being played at the Town Hall but on Saturday it will be swapped for korfball.

The sport is the only mixed gender sport in the world, and Alexander Gardner is organising an outdoor korfball game in the city centre.

Alexander said: “Korfball has similarities to netball and basketball with teams consisting of eight members (four females and four males).

“Anyone can play whether male, female, young, old, fit or out of shape. You don’t even need to be able to throw or catch, we can teach you that.”

The event takes place at 1pm on Saturday 5 April.
