Bring you own bags and help yourself to high quality compost, rich in nutrients. It’s not suitable for planting seedlings or bulbs but it is perfect for using in the garden for everything else.

Go along between the times specified and they will do the rest for you.

Due to high demand there is a limit of 4 bags per household.

Global Renewables’ waste recovery park at Farington is the UK’s second fully enclosed waste treatment facility. 75% of the waste it handles will be diverted away from landfill. Everything happens indoors to prevent noise and odour escaping.

It generates its own electricity from methane, preventing its escape into the atmosphere where it acts as a greenhouse gas. It treats and reuses water created from organic waste, as well as capturing some rain water for use in the process and it has its own education centre where visitors can learn more about recycling and environmentally-friendly waste treatment.
