A man on Church Street CCTV the police would like to speak to

A CCTV image of a man police want to speak to following an assault in Preston city centre has been released.

A 28-year-old man was assaulted outside Yekta Kebabs & Pizzas on Church Street around 3.20am on Wednesday 26 March.

Lancashire Police say the man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and treated for minor injuries to his face and shoulder.

PC Anna Forsyth said: “We are very keen to speak with the man in the CCTV image and I would urge anybody who recognises him or knows who he is to contact police.”

A 22-year-old man from Ashton has been charged in connection with the assault.
