Sportsmen and women from across the city have been celebrated at the annual Preston Sports Awards.

Hundreds joined a glitzy ceremony at the Guild Hall on Friday which included a sit-down meal and entertainment.

Jason Gardener, British sprinter and Olympic medalist, gave a speech about his success at the Athens games when winning gold as part of the four by 100m relay team.
