Preston man dies during walking holiday in Scotland

A hiker from Preston has been found dead in the hills of a remote Scottish island.

Edward Jackson, known as Ted, was last see on Sunday in the remote North Harris area of the uter Hebrides.

The 55-year-old had been on a walking holiday.

Next of kin have been informed.

Police, coastguard and volunteers from the local mountain rescue team had mounted a search to find Jackson.
