Penwortham Festival 2014 – a festival weekend of music, arts, poetry and drama over 28th and 29th March.
The first Penwortham Live! ran successfully last year, in April 2013. In 2014 there will be an even wider range of actvities and performances for all ages and tastes.
The list of attendees and events for the weekend taking place in venues around Penwortham is still being finalised. Arrangements are currently being made, venues sought and acts signed up.
One of their new venues for 2014 is the Coach House in Hurst Grange Park. Volunteers are working tirelessly on fundraising to restore it and hope it will be ready to use as part of Penwortham Live! It will be a rustic and quirky music venue. Organisers say bring your torch if you’re planning on walking through the park in the evening.
Preston based rock cover band Vamika will be performing at Penwortham Live! The group get fantastic feedback wherever they play.
Wristbands, which act as entry to the all events are £5 each and available from any of the venues or performers- there are posters up in the windows of venues and big banners are going up now.
