Celebrate International Women’s Day on Saturday in Preston.

To mark the occasion Preston Young People’s Service will be holding events on Preston’s Flag Market between 11am and 3pm.

Come along and celebrate being a woman and have some fun. Lots of great activities for all to enjoy.

Performances, Caribbean Carnival Dancers, Poets, Tree of Change, Quiz, Balloons, Goody Bags, Henna Stalls, Information and Advice.

International Women’s Day has been observed since in the early 1900’s.

Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events.

Preston event organised by Lancashire County Council and Preston Youth Zone.
