Little Cow, at 118b on Friargate, has flipped its last burger. The shop stands lifeless as workers take down the overhead sign, shortly to be replaced by the new owners dazzling new one
The little bar sold great gourmet burgers, deli sandwiches and Milkshakes and only opened back in July 2013.
It was an off-shoot from the Cow Bar & Grill on Cannon Street that later became Mooch!. We gave the place a glowing review back in September when we said “It is good to see a different type of food outlet on Friargate filled with chicken joints and pizza outlets. The food is fresh and very well cooked.”
Only recently they developed an exciting new breakfast menu ranging from 300-410 calories. Fresh homemade blueberry pancakes topped with bacon and golden syrup.
Looks like it couldn’t fight the numerous other takeaway options that litter the street
The shop, which was once a hair stylist, looks like it will soon reopen as a new snack bar called Maroc.
The owners were unavailable for comment.
