Emmaus Preston, who provide homes to people who have been homeless or socially excluded, have been hit by the recent bad weather.
Their shop on Frairgate is currently closed while repairs take place. This also affects Cafe 49, the very welcoming little in-store cafe offering tea, cakes and sandwiches.
Emmaus tell us they plan to reopen soon.
The charity are working to end homelessness and for every £1 spent with them there is an £11 social, economic and environmental return on investment. If you buy from them, not only will you be getting a good quality, affordable item, you will be helping someone who has been homeless to get their life back on track again.
Emmaus rely on your continued support and kind donations to keep them going and they always do their best to sell, recycle or otherwise get an income from everything given to them.
Emmaus also have a warehouse at Ribbleton which is still open for donations.
