Steam engine running on the Ribble Steam Railway

Four steam engines will be chugging along the Ribble Steam Railway at its annual steam gala.

The event takes place on the Docklands railway on Saturday 15 February and Sunday 16 February.

It starts from 10.30am and the workshop and cafe will also be open.

The four locomotives on show will be:

– Bagnall 2680/1942 in the guise of Preston Dock loco ‘Courageous’

– Andrew Barclay 2261/1949 ‘No. 6’ – which returned to steam in 2013 at the September Gala.

– Hunslet 3155/1944 ‘Walkden’ – stalwart of the line.

– And a fourth ‘Mystery’ locomotive to be announced soon

Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for children and concessions. Tickets are valid all day on all trains.

HRA passes not valid during the weekends, Ribble Steam Railway members enter half price.
