A £10,000 reward is being offered after a Preston bookmakers was robbed twice in 48 hours.
AdvertisementThe William Hill bookies on Ribbleton Lane was targeted by what police believe to be the same man.
Both times he entered the shop brandishing a knife and demanding money. He escaped with cash from the till on both occasions.
The first incident took place around 9.20pm on Saturday 11 January. £300 was taken.
The second incident was around 9.45pm on Monday. £200 was taken.
Detective Sergeant Martin Pearson from Preston CID said: “These are serious offences and I would appeal to anybody that has any information about either of these robberies to come forward.
“Fortunately nobody was injured and owing to William Hill’s internal security systems the offenders were only able to access a relatively small amount of cash that had been taken during the day. No other money was available.
“I would ask people to take a look at the image of the man pictured in the CCTV from the offence on 11th January and to call police if they are able to identify him.”
The offender is described as male and was wearing black clothing with a scarf covering his mouth. He spoke with a local accent.
Anyone with information should call Lancashire Police on 101.
