A reminder to motorists travelling into Preston.

Marsh Lane has been closed to allow bridge painting works. They are now well underway with scaffolding erected under the bridge blocking the road.

No traffic is allowed under the railway bridge that carries the West Coast Main Line and vehicles heading into Preston along Marsh Lane are being diverted back along lodge Street and into Croft Street.

Pedestrians still have access.

The works are not affecting the Ringway side of the bridge.

Started on 13 January the works are expected to last until 9 March 2014.
