Police in Preston are appealing for witnesses after a car ended up in a ditch.
AdvertisementFive people were injured when a Renault Clio turned onto its roof in Haighton.
A 22-year-old man, the driver of the vehicle, from Preston, suffered shock and whiplash after the incident.
The front seat passenger, a 21-year-old Prestonian, has a broken leg.
The Clio was being driven down Haighton Green Lane at 8.40pm on Wednesday when it lost control at the junction of Brabiner Lane, left the road and ended up on its roof in a stream.
A 21 year old man from Leyland who was one of the rear seat passengers suffered cuts to his hand, while a 21 year old woman from Chorley suffered shock and whiplash.
Meanwhile, the third rear seat passenger, a 26 year old woman from Chorley, suffered bruising and sprains to her leg.
The four passengers and driver were treated at Royal Preston Hospital.
Police closed the road for three and a half hours to carry out investigations.
PC Tony Hughes said: “An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision is underway and we are keen to speak with anybody who witnessed it, or perhaps saw the Clio being driven prior to the collision, to come forward.
