Fire at flat in Percy Street on Boxing Day

A Boxing Day meal went wrong for one home in Preston.

Fire crews were called to a flat in Percy Street in the city centre at 9.29pm on Boxing Day.

The fire involved a pan and caused smoke damage to the rest of the flag.

A crew from Preston Fire Station had to use two sets of breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and a ventilation unit while putting out the fire.
