Worried about crime over the festive period? Volunteer Police Cadets from Preston will be offering crime prevention advice at the Indoor Market tomorrow (23 December).
Providing a very worthy service the Cadets help and assist in the community by getting involved in stewarding local events such as fairs, town shows and other local events. Aiding local neighbourhood policing teams they do helpful crime prevention initiatives, community safety events and street surveys.
The Police Cadets will operate a stall at Preston Market delivering advice on the prevention of crime and trying to raise money to take the cadets away for an activity weekend. You will also have a chance to talk to them about the Police Cadets scheme itself.
Open to people aged 13-18 living in Lancashire the scheme gives youngsters the chance to experience the full spectrum of policing within Lancashire, while carrying out fundraising challenges.
